2. Whakaeke: Our entrance waiata is “Ko wai matou.” This introduces our roopu, our values and delivers our intention to perform to the best of our ability. This was written by Whaea Awhi.
3. Moteatea: Our chant “E RERE, E TĪ” by Merimeri Penfold is about a fantail and how itcheckily performs for any audience.
4. Waiata - a - ringa: "Piki mai" is our action song. We perform this to remind us that we need to strive for what we believe in and hold dear to us just likeWairaka had to in this waiata.
5. Poi: Our poi waiata is "Whakarongo ki te tangi." This waiata is about listening to the beat ofthe poi, and using our hands to show the grace of the poi. We have adapted theoriginal version of whakarongo ki te tangi - unknown composer.
6. Haka: "Hato Terehia" was written for our kura by Parker Ormond and a group of tamariki. It encompasses our school values and reflects our Catholic faith. We performthis with the same passion and love that we have for our Kura and our Atua.
7. Whakawatea: Our exit waiata is "Nga Uara o Hato Terehia" and it finishes our set the way we started, by holding onto our school values and always reminds the audienceof who we are, we will see you again friends.
